Coffee Table – Viewer Project

This viewer project is submitted by Robby in Belgium. Let’s check it out:

“My brother and I made a coffee table and a side table out of Oak for his wife’s birthday.
It’s our first project in Oak, before we only used MDF. We’re really proud of it and its thanks to your show that we could do it. We’re definitely going to do some more “real” woodworking :o) Well my sister-in-law loves these tables. Many thanks and we love the show!!!”

    Marc,

We had some talks about – how to fix the table top – at the time. We glued the top table inside the frame – it was not the best method the go for – and i realize that now.
You asked me to keep you up-to-date on the state of the table. Well i m happy to inform you its still in perfect condition. Thanks for putting my project on your website.

You really made my day !!

Hey Robby, nice tables. I am almost done with some end tables and am thinking of a coffee table next. I like some of your ideas in yours.

    Jim,

Go ahead – i also got my inspiration from a interior design book.
I think the best results are made when you take something from here – something from their and a bit of your own inspiration. ;o)

Thats why i love Mark’s asian look – or WarCraft influences.
    It has something special

Nice work, my heart goes out to you. Breaking away from that evil MDF, and into the wonderful world of REAL sawdust. Have fun, go nuts!

We’ll i really enjoyed this one. But i m still doing some MDF-projects. People here in Europe like painted closets and preferable cheap.

I m making a bedroom closet now. Will be nice when its finished :o)
