Robert’s Plane Till

I built this to house my modest collection of planes (at the time), which has now grown out of hand. I routed out a spot for each plane that was to go on the till section. I like contrasting woods so I trimmed the oak with walnut and plugged the screw holes with contrasting plugs. I recently added an oak french cleat to the back and hung it on the wall of my partially remodeled shop.

A few minor mistakes and one big one that I was lucky enough to hide. Finish Used: A few coats of shellac straight out of the can topped off with a wax protectant.
