Here’s a jig that our friend and fellow woodworker Duane “Big D” Moore has submitted for our viewing pleasure. Its a much cheaper alternative to the Oneway Jig featured in our Jointer Setup video.
Hey Marc, I saw this online not sure where, sorry. It worked well and only cost me about $12 to make. I put the magnets on the top so I could use it to set blade height on the table saw too. Thought you could share it with others that may need a cheap jig for setting the blades on their jointer.

RE: Duane?s Dial Indicator Setup Jig.
Add 1-2-3 block from ENCO, and a 0-1″ indicator works
great on the table saw or router table.

Nice look. I wonder the fellas in the machine shop would say if I slipped a few wooden tools into the works. I think it would be sweet. They’ll probably just throw them at my head.
I really like that D-handle. I wonder if I could adapt it for use on some snow shovels I have that only have a straight handle? I wonder if my wife needs any in the kitchen?
I’m so all over this and it looks so much cooler. THX
Perfect, thanks D.
I like it and as a certified cheapo I want to build one too.
Very nice!! I confess I could not pony up the $99 for the er…’official’ version :-)
Where did you get the dial indicator?
arcwick I got the dial indicator on ebay
Harbor Freight sells a perfectly adequate dial indicator for $12 or so. I have two of them, surprisingly good quality.
