This week, I will finally make good on a promise. That is, a promise to myself to focus more on my own woodworking education. I’m heading off to the William Ng School for a class with Darrell Peart. Many of you probably already noticed that I have a good amount of interest in Greene & Greene furniture, as it was a huge influence on the Gadget Station. So having an opportunity to work with Darrell Peart was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up!
So wish me luck. My posts on the site this week might be a little irregular. But I am bringing my camera and with any luck, I’ll be able to make a few posts about the class itself. Well, time to pack my tool bag!

I have followed Darrell and the Greene & Greene club over at the Yahoo groups. I am very jealous that you will get to meet him face to face. To date I have only had online contact.
No relation to Neil Peart I’m guessing…
All great instructors continue getting more education and you are one of the best. Remember no passing notes in class (LOL). Keep up the great work and have fun.

I have lots of family in Orange County. I just might have to impose on them so I can attend the William Ng School.

The school is just a hop, skip and a jump from my house, although that’s not my preffered means of travel… Good luck on you Arched Aurora End Table.

can’t wait to here about the class, I have taken two classes at the william ng school, finishing with Brian Miller and Inlay with William ng I hope to get back there soon.
Just this last weekend was trying to sign up for a class with Darrell Peart at http://www.ptwoodschool.com. His classes or full, so I’m on a waiting list. The classes are only 2 day classes, but should be fun if I can get in. I’d love to take his week long class! Can’t wait to hear how things go for you.

Were there any beginning woodworkers in your class and if so, did they have a difficult time? It’s a bit intimidating for a beginning woodworker like myself to sign up for classes unless they say “101″ or “beginning”. I always wonder what the mix is like in the classes.
